"When
I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would
not have a single
bit of talent left and could say, 'I used everything you gave me.'

Welcome to
Cammcastle Rottweilers!
It is a pleasure
sharing some history and photos that tell the story. My first
Rottweiler, Bear (Ch. Der Schatten vom Bar CD), provided an intense
and rigorous crash course experience in understanding and managing an
incredibly intelligent and challenging dog. But his unique traits and
loyal, protective manner led me to this 20+ year affair I have
with the Rottweiler.
In 1988, my search
for a foundation bitch led me to Peter and Marilyn Piusz of Seren
Rottweilers, and I thank them today for Zanne. She was not only my
foundation bitch, but she was an extraordinary Rottweiler - a giant
in confidence, intelligence, and enthusiasm.

National Specialty Show, handled by Karen Billings
This site is
dedicated to her, Ch. Seren's Just Dazzlling Zanne, CDX, CGC, TDI.
She became an American Rottweiler Gold Dam, a member of the Medallion
Rottweiler Club Hall of Fame, a recepient of the CRC Bronze
Achievement Award, the 1996 CRC Brood Bitch winner, and a two time
Dog World Award winner. Even now, 18 years and five generations
later, I momentarily mistake the expression or gesture of one of my
dogs for Zanne herself. Her structure, temperament, spirit, and
heart have transcended even her progeny's progeny.

Enjoy the
site. You will find a number of accomplished Rottweilers in
obedience, agility, and conformation - but that is due largely to the
quality people who have given each of these dogs an enriched life and
great opportunities. You will also find many Rottweilers who are
strictly companions, and in their lives away from the camera, prefer
sailing, hiking, swimming in the family lake, and even, in one case,
shooting pool!
Thank you for visiting!
